Police Horse 1, 'Real World' Housemate 0 A new edition of "The Real World" made its debut on MTV Tuesday (Sept. 7), which meant it was only a matter of time before we started finding out about the cast's run-ins with the law.Or, in this case, the law's horse. The "Real World"-er in question this time is Landon Leuck, a 25-year-old who's living with six others on the 15th edition of the show, which filmed in Philadelphia. Leuck pleaded guilty last year to a misdemeanor charge of harassing a police animal -- specifically, a horse used by a University of Wisconsin police officer at a 2002 football game.According to the police report on Leuck (which you can see at TheSmokingGun.com), UW police asked Leuck to leave a Wisconsin-Penn State football game in 2002 after an officer smelled booze on Leuck's breath. Leuck became "extremely belligerent," the report says, and refused to leave.Soon after that, another officer on horseback arrived at the scene to help escort Leuck away. Leuck continued to resist, and actually "grabbed the neck of the horse and attempted to push the horse away," conjuring up images of Alex Karras punching out a steed in "Blazing Saddles."Leuck's efforts didn't have the same effect, and he was taken into custody soon afterward. As it was his first offense, he was allowed to enter a deferred-prosecution program after pleading guilty. He completed the program last fall, and his record was expunged.
